Some archers may question how to define ethical limitations for their own shooting abilities in hunting environments. Simply put - it can't be done. We allow every shooter to push themselves beyond their presumed capabilities and practice at that level. Thus allowing shooters to determine which shots are ethical for them and more importantly, which are not. When our archery hunters come to "the moment of truth", they know beyond a doubt whether they should take the shot or let it walk.
What is a 3D Archery Shoot?
The 3D Archery Shoot is a course of life size three dimensional targets using various animal figures. The course uses varying distances and natural terrain features to simulate actual hunting situations and challenges. We will place 40 targets throughout our 60 acre property for your enjoyment.
Who am I competing against?
Each archer registers before going out on the course and is given a score card for their particular category which they're shooting. Upon completion of the course, the score cards are turned in and the scores recorded for the day. There are a total of 40 targets for a possible maximum score of 400 points. For the most part, you're competing against your own best score and the recording of everyone's scores is done just to make it interesting.
Who can shoot and what is the cost?
The Manchester Bowhunter's 3D Archery Shoot is open to anyone. You do not have to belong to any organization or club to register and shoot. The cost is only $10 for adults, Children age 12 - 15 are $5, and Children age 11 and under are FREE.
